New Dvr Function Found

I found this new DVR function by accident. While in the DVR Events screen when you press a number on the keypad of your remote it will move you to a different section on the list. I thought "what in the world is going on here?" and then I thought "oh, it is going to the first letter above the number".

For example, you press the number 5 on your keypad and it will go to the first letter of the first word of the show that starts with a J K or L. If you have known that starts with a J then it will go to one that starts with a K. Makes it a lot quicker to browse through DVR Events.

Yeah I noticed that recently as well. It's a pretty cool feature. I don't think it's that new though. I had been using it since before the last software update to my DVR.

It works just like the telephone. For example, when you dial 1-800-333-DISH.

Works the same on the search page. Use the keys like you are texting on your cell instead of moving around the on-screen keyboard.

Its actually been there for awhile. Its like text messaging on your cell phone.

I actually learned about that from the screensaver. It's actually proving to be quite usefully, also learned that you can press swap to switch between the last 2 sorting options
