Hello! Are there any new dvr receivers coming out soon? I'm wondering If I should hold off on upgrading to a 722 or 922 if there are newer ones coming out soon.
Yes.
Look for details on Hopper and Joey next week from CES.
DISH always has new products on the drawing board, problem is some get released at CES well before they are ready for sale. After press release it is another 6-12 months before the BETA MODEL IS RELEASED FOR CONSUMERS TO DEBUG.Hello! Are there any new dvr receivers coming out soon? is this going to another high tech gadget that isn't available to people in rural areas who can only get satellite internet? funny, dish started out as way for people in rural areas not serviced by the cable co.'s to get more tv channels and now they are screwing them over too. That would be nothing new for Dish. They have done it in the past, moved internationals from 61.5 to 118.7, everyone here had to have a plus dish put up for the new sat or when they put high def locals on 61.5 when this is a western arc area and everyone with HD needed a wing dish. I just figure every 6 months they do something stupid like this because of some ass hat who lives behind a desk, but it's job security the way I see it.mike123abc said:. Of course there is the issue of whether or not they will be available to existing subs since it would require rewiring a lot of setups to have a cable to feed all the remote "joeys"
