need tech help!

I Recently bought a winguard dish 76cm and a orasat receiver v5.0
the reason I bought it is because my wife is vietnamese and I wanted to receive vietnamese programs for my spouse. I 'am new to fta and I hired a so-called professional installer to hook up my unit. he installed it but we were unable to get all of the satellites with my orasat receiver luckly he had in his van a old fta unit and we were able to watch on channel 104 on telstar5 vietnamese programs. he ststed the reason I could not get all the satellites is because my receiver needs to be re-program? is this correct? please help me with this problem

If its a pay TV service that would be stealing and we enforce a strict no hack talk policy here! There only seems to be one FTA TV channel from Vietnam, so thats all you will get FTA.
