Need splitter advice

Can anyone tell me what the correct splitter is for separating mt OTA antenna to 2 wires so I can use a 2nd HD set? I tried a 3.5 db but I lost 1 channel. on the main set?? The 2nd tv is upstairs and on the other side of the house. My cm4228 is outside on the ground near the main set. Should I use an amplifier to get the signal up and over? if so which one? Thanks

I used a channelmaster 7777 pre amp mounted just below my cm4228 and a regular coax splitter to feed 2 HD sets. I put the power source about mid way from the TVs Both work fine. Remember to split the signal after the power source.
