I plan to add a second ViP622 DVR, I am confused about fees.
I have the DVR Advantage package.
No question that I will have to pay a $50.00 up front fee for the new 622 and installation.
Two Dish people say I have to pay $7.00 for the new receiver lease fee and an additional $5.98 for the DVR Service fee.
Another said all I have to pay is the $7.00, another said all I have to pay is the $5.98.
I thought I remember the person that sold me DVR Advantage package that I would not have to pay one or the other fee.
Can someone please provide a link to a Dish document that specifies what additional monthly fees are required with the DVR Advantage package?

The fees are this
Its going to cost you $7 per month for the additional HD receiver, and its going to cost you anther $5.98 for DVR fee.
DVR atvantage only covers the First DVR receiver on your account. Otherwise its $5.98 extra for each addtional DVR receiver.

Americas Everything Pack includes Free DVR service ,on EVERY DVR Receiver.
But still cost $7 for addtional HD,211,222,612,622,722 receivers and I also believe its still $7 for the 625 SD DVR
All others are $5

Thanks for the responses, I did not like the answers but only because I am a real cheapskate. Oh well, Dish needs the money.

you may want to get vip222 and pay 40 bucks to activate external hard drive and pay no more dvr fee. That fee will also cover ur 622. I am thinking of doing it as soon I get my second hdtv deal...

ofcourse u will have to buy external hard drive

Paying to have your DVR enabled and a fee for not connecting your receiver to a phone line is a bunch of poop!

+1. If Dish owns the receiver, I guess I could be OK with it, but I hate that I could buy the receiver and still have to pay it. If I own all the necessary technology, why should I be paying to record a show to my own hard drive?

Nobody ever charged me to record to my VCR, why should they charge me to record to my receiver?

If it weren't for DVR advantage I couldn't justify it.

charles should be happy with this
