Need help with VS2000 Xtreme

I have a New VS2000 unit and after installation the lock it self down, and indicated to introduce the pin code. I used the standard code indicated in the manual ( 0000 ) and it will not open. can anyone tell me what to do.

Can you get into the system setup menu and just disable the password protection? I have an Ultra and that was the first thing I did with it, otherwise you have to enter that code every time you want to blind scan a satellite. BTW thats the same code my manual gives for my rec, sorry I don't know of any others. Might try google for more possibile codes to try..
Or if you can get to it, do the factory default and try starting over.
