coolsat 8000

I would like some help with installation of coolsat 8000, I am new to the FTA and if there is someone to help in the Sacramento area, California, thanks

We know many installers in this area. What dish are you installing? Motorized? What channels and satellites do you want to watch?

What to do?

Hello, first time here. Like to find out what is available in FTA. Live in Sacramento. Interested in maybe a motorized dish and some help in setting it up. I am elderly so I need an installer. What satellites can I get and where do I go to find more information. Just starting out so any help is appreciated.

Take a look at these two websites, three links.

On the first website, two links, all the channels are free unless otherwise noted.

Ku Band (Smaller dish, 30" to 1.2 Meters)
http://www.global-cm.net/MPEGlistKuBandUS.html

C Band (Larger dish 6 feet and up)
http://www.global-cm.net/MPEGlistCBandUS.html

On this last website C Band and Ku band are on the same page. C Band use 4 digit frequencies (Ex. "3000") and Ku Band use 5 digit frequencies (Ex. 11000).
Also make sure that under Video Encryption tab you see a "F" or just "DVB".
North & South America - LyngSat

Since you are in Sacramento CA you should be able to receive all satellites from 58 Degrees West to 148 Degrees West, as long as you have a clear view of the Southern sky.
