Need Help w/ my CoolSat 5000 Platinum

I just bought a Cool Sat 5000 platinum, and i am trying to get it going, can anyone help me with setting it up and how to connect the receiver to my laptop cause the chord it came with doesn't fit any plugs on my laptop, can someone please help me.

Just do a factory reset, there really is no need to connect it to a pc it will work fine right out of the box.

If it has hacker software in it you want to get rid of, I believe you can find
a converter/connector at Radio Shack. USB-to serial , or something like that, I've no experience with laptops but I know some do not have the serial ports any more.

what else do you have besides the CS5000?

what dish size & LNB type?
