Need HELP setting up VS2000

I am having problems setting up vs2000 universal package I just purchased. I don't know how to locate nearest satellite. My zip code is 78368. I was referred to your site. PLEASE HELP! Am I needing installation settings for menu on receiver? As you probably figured out I'm new to this and am attempting installation on my own. I should probably just take up golf. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

You should have no problem picking up IA5 from your location! I'm just east of Dallas and most of the transponders come in very, very strongly.

Thanks for the info. I tried IA-5, and I do get what I believe to be a good signal. Although, I just can't get it to lock. I spent most of the day moving it east to west and up and down but it just won't lock. Any suggestions on newbie mistakes and possible solutions?
