I had DTV installed a few months ago with the Whole Home setup. Everything was clicking along great until one day I came home and now the receivers upstairs suddenly cannot find a networked DVR. Both upstairs are HD 24's with the DVR downstairs with the cinema kit installed. I have the Deca downstairs next to the DVR and one of the upstairs HD receivers has the SWM running into it. My home network is wireless off a router in another room.
All this being said was because of this. Everything was working good for a couple of months until just out of the blue the whole home stopped. Now around this time Comcast made me an offer where they would give me a good price on the internet if I take basic cable again. I had the cable disconnected before when the satellite got installed originally. All that comcast did this time was flip their switch to cable back on as far as I can tell. Could this be effecting my whole home setup? I even had the DTV service guy come out a few days ago to try and fix the problem I am having. After 2.5 hours of fiddling and on the phone to DTV technicians and swapping out both the splitter outside and one upstairs receiver that connects where the SWM is, he finally got it working again. He leaves and 3 hours later after a software update had happened again it is not working. All receivers connect to the internet I have wireless and yes I understand that really has nothing to do with the whole home but I have tried resetting all receivers to no avail and have read countless posts on what to try.
Really don't have much faith in DTV sending someone else out again. Could the Comcast cable have any effect on my whole home not working? Strange since this happened about the same time as my problems began.
Please any suggestions I would greatly appreciate them.
