Hey folks:

Just got a 1m Winegard dish. Have been using a 75cm Hotdish for the past few years on the second floor concrete patio. Have found a site in back of my house with good clearance (since Hurricane Wilma graciously removed 2 trees interferring with my line of sight before). Am looking to dig a hole, and place a 10 foot steel pole into the ground, a few feet down (hard to go too far since I am in South Florida, and it would be hitting water), and make this as plumb as possible, pour concrete into hole to fill it, and then cover it over with about 6-8 inches of topsoil.

Here's where I need some guidance and advice. I want to ensure that this pole does not move over time due to the weight of the dish initially, and due to the existence of winds during our storms (hot to mention hurricanes) here in South Florida. Toward that end, would you recommend any device or clamps so that I can bracket the pole to the side of the house? If so, what is recommended?

Best regards, and looking forward to advice,
