Not sure if this is the right place to post this, if not, mods please move it.

I picked up a coolsat 8000 yesterday, the guy was moving,(lucky Me) but He has no idea where the remote is.
I tried google and our sponsors at the top of the forum , no luck
I want to try the dvbs2 channels

thanks for any info

Ice ,
I searched on ebay also, maybe I'll try to word it different
and see if I get any results

send a pm to stogie he bought one of the universal ones ( which i now have but i haven't hooked it up )

you can ask him how he liked it

I found one $81.95 shipped from 1800-remotes
cheaper than the old drake 1224 remote I ordered years ago $120.00

I have been using a universal Harmony Remote for over 3 years. Was not totally happy but yesterday I tried their up to date SW and firmware the remote rocks.

I have been using a universal Harmony Remote for over 3 years. Was not totally happy but yesterday I tried their up to date SW and firmware, the remote rocks. It controls two of my FTA boxes, LCD TV, DVD players, HTPC and AV receiver and OTA antenna rotor flawlessly now. I can't imagine watching my complicated TV system without it.

I checked it and both HD8000 and CS8000 are in their database, although it does not guarantee every button is in. If you are willing to spend $50 - $100 for a remote, Harmony is the way to go. In the future you have another FTA box without remote, you probably don't need to worry about it.
