I just got a Uniden Supra, which I surmise is analog only. I need a live, strong NTSC KU-band transponder that I can use to see if I can make this work. Anybody know what satellite I should try aiming at?

Edit: for some reason my motor isn't getting power, am I risking burning up something by connecting the KU port on this receiver to my SG2100? I know it won't control a DiSEqC motor but it should at least provide power so I can control it manually.

The Supra is a good unit. Had one of them a while back

She's a bugger to program but it will work

If you got your Microyal working, use the loop out. Otherwise, SBS6 seems to have a few games. AMC9 use to (cant remember if its there now) have a test card on TP 19

the motor needs the power from the digital reciever. Most anlog receivers dont work fully with the newer LNB's. If I hook it up directly to the receiver, I get H polarity only

is there a list somewhere that shows which tp's on which sats that are analog KU? It doesn't seem like lyngsat seperates the two (digital/analog) for KU. Is there a list of channels or feeds?

Are there any cheap analog receivers that anyone would recommend?

We ONLY use Lyngsat here :)

Analog receivers can be picked up VERY cheap!

I use the Toshiba TRX 1520!

Lyngsat has some listed. Those have the symbol rate as "NTSC"
99% of the KU analog channels are feeds so they come and go all the time

dang near all of them. I have 4 of them
-2 Toshiba TRX1420
-Uniden 4200
-really old one (C-Band only)

Ebay has a few...Goodwill might...yard sales.

Todays KU Band user is tomorrows C-Band user :)

Thats where I want to be! :)

Would an analog receiver be worth hunting down, or will what's left of the analog signals be dying out soon? Probably when I get a BUD it'll have a analog receiver with it.
