Nee dhelp with FTA receiver for dish

Hey guys. New here. I live in Indiana, to close to Indy to watch the Indy 500. Its blacked out for me. Well, my Dad has a 8' mesh satellite we used for years ( i remember when we used to hand cranks the sat), and kept to pick up the feeds for the 500. Well the receiver we used has gone dead. I was wondering, what receivers could we purchased and end up picking up ABC feeds to watch the race. I know for a fact, if I got a FTA receiver my dad would be hooked as a hobby. The motor still works great. Just need to find some receivers we could purchase to hookup, also what sites have them. Also, anyone know where exactly we could pickup the ABC. I remember we used to pick it up i thin around T1, but its been so long I cant remember. Again, great to find this forum...I will probably start picking this up as a lil hobby. The more i think about it, it could be a 10'. to be honest, I am not 100% sure. My mom may kill me if I got him a FTA receiver, its not like he needs another hobby. But, knowing him he will get hooked looking for feeds.

Lil more info to help, I am just interested in SD. The sat is S/Ku. Like i said, the receiver is dead. So would i need another device to move the motor, on top of a FTA receiver. Again, any help is greatly appreciated.

Sadoun has those gbox (79.00)and fortec star receivers. I think just one cable out to the dish is all that is required but not sure. But you probably have all the cables for the old buds receiver. I have coolsat 5000 models they mesh with the gbox. You can get used fta receivers as well. BUT you better research it all because I do not have a mover. All stationary at the moment.
