So here is the problem. The BUD is about 140 feet from the house. We live in Panama and despite a big dish some sigmals down here are marginal.
With the box and a tv at the base of the dish I can lock some signals quite well. Take the box and tv up the hill to the house I get the dreaded "No or bad signal" message on the channels that were previously working well. I have tried to use the highest quality coax available here so what more could I do ?

Thanks for any help

Tony

Yes, it sounds like an amplifier might solve your problem. One with a low noise factor and the standard 13 dB plus tilt should work fine. I happen to like the Channel Master 5213IFD dual amplifier, because it is fairly immune to overloading, but there are others that will work.
