NCAA Football 2009-10 Season

that game would be a Bracket Buster if played in basketball, given the combined OOC schedule of those 2. Horrid. :)

Everyone ready for the REAL game at 3:30pm est this weekend? Ie. tOSU vs. Penn State?!!!!

You are right.. Id much rather watch a two loss no national championship hopes, a midlevel bowl team play against a 1 loss Penn st. Then a undefeated Alabama who is in the national title hunt, vs a 1 loss LSU who is also in the national title hunt.

A Penn State victory should send OSU out of the rankings.. But never fear OSU fans. You guys should beat mich.. So not a complete waste of a season.

Penn St. has about a good a shot as LSU, which is slim.

As it is, at least LSU & Alabama are playing to be in their Conference Championship Game. Penn St. and Ohio St. (to a lesser degree) are out of that hunt as long as Iowa continues to win, though if Ohio St. manages to beat both Penn St. & then Iowa, they'll be the Big 10 champ.

Either way though, matchups like these are why I'm glad I have PiP.

Apparently you know my wife? :D As long as OSU beats Michigan, the season is a success. But, as I remind her every year, "should beat" and "beating" are two entirely different things. Take a look at the BS vs. Oregon for a prime example of things not going exactly as planned. hehehe

The only good team MICHIGAN beats is Florida.;)

Anyone watching this Boise State / La Tech game ?

BSU was leading 27-7 at the half.
Now it's 30 - 28 BSU with 10 minutes to go and BSU just missed a chip shot FG.

Saw a minute of it in the first quarter and BS was down 7-6 and turned it on when I got back home. BS was lucky to escape with a win in the game, La-Tech (3-5 coming into the game) looked like the toughest competition they have played this season, including the Oregon squad that showed up in that game.

Overall, it was one of the better Friday night games that ESPN has had on this season, IMO.

Wow - Iowa in serious trouble. GO NORTHWESTERN!!! :)

(Though I'm hoping Cincy is out of the hunt as of tomorrow, too)

So much for the fluke that was Iowa. They've been skating on thin ice all year and today they fell through.

Its hard to call them a fluke when they lost with their backup QB. It most likely would have been a different story if their starting QB was not knocked out early.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda. Iowa has been lucky all year. Today their luck ran out.

The only thing you are right on is that their luck ran out. They had a unlucky break losing the QB and it was downhill from there.

Remember that Luck helps win national championships.

It is part of the game. No excuses. I do not THINK they were a fluke, but they were not as great as advertised. All those close calls finally caught up to them.

You are correct that they were not as great as the media was making them out to be. Personally this helps my team out so it is really no great loss to me.
