NCAA Football 2009-10 Season

Ok back to football that matters. Man Tebow still has not been cleared to practice let alone play. Death Valley is looking more and more scarey as the days and hours go on. Brantley is good, I mean over 70% completion and no interceptions, but he still has yet to do this in a big game. Its easy to keep good stats in mop up duty. Its gonna be a great dam game. I am breaking out the wallet and doing prime rib instead of the normal ribs and chicken because if the gators lose I at least want to have a nice full tummy :)

Florida's in good shape win or lose. Losing on the road to #4 LSU is nothing to be ashamed of, especially if Tebow's not 100%. If they win then just prove they should be the #1 team. Season still boils down to the SEC CG, and Florida looks like a shoe in to win the East.

We want Tebow to play! A win without him there would be worthless (just kidding - I'll take it no matter what ;)).

I'll be dining on sausage jambalaya and fried alligator during the game. :D

One of the great facts of LSU lore is how they are a better home team in night games than day games.

I harken back to three games last year- Ole Miss, Georgia, Alabama- and wonder if those games were at night, would they have won?

How have I dismissed Ohio St.
I've just said that an undefeated BCS team will leapfrog any 1-loss team into the Championship game. Simple history and numbers.

For the same reason, I argued for a 1-loss Ohio St. to be in the 2008 BCS Championship game against LSU, even though I said USC and Georgia were better than them.

I'm sorry, but lose a game and you forfeit any rights to argue your standing over undefeated teams.

So you want a Cincy vs Name your SEC team ....
Ya thats gonna happen.

No he would just rather call it like he sees it. When his team sucks and has a bad day he will just admit it and not make a hundred excuses. Like (Next time lets play up north in the snow) or (Mich should of been in the game not FLA) or any number of excuses we hear. Like when Mich DESTROYED FLA, I didnt go all homer and say (well if we played in the snow wed of won) etc.

There is being loyal and supporting your team, but at the same time you also have to look at things through reality.

Example: I was the first to bring up FLAS crappy weak schedule. Also brought up the fact if they do lose one game, they should drop out of national title chances, as other teams with much tougher schedules deserve the shot. That of course depends on who the other team is. But while I support my team, I am also a realist. If FLA can make it through the SEC undefeated, there is not doubt they deserve to be in the title game.

Your the biggest HOMER on the BOARD.

Oh you want to bring up location again ?

Come on up here and play for a change , you coward.

"That of course depends on who the other team is" of course it does as long as it's a SEC team.

At least USC has enough balls to come north.

A good team should be able to win everywhere.

It does depend on who the other team is. I mean I think a loss against say Alabama, in the SEC Title game, is not as bad as say a loss to Tenn or Kentucky would of been.

Your right USC did go up there.. and won.

OSU is what 0-9 somthing like that against the SEC you have no room to talk ;)

1978 Sugar Bowl: Alabama 35, Ohio State 6 - Woody Hayes
1990 Hall Of Fame Bowl: Auburn 31, Ohio State 14 - John Cooper
1993 Citrus Bowl: Georgia 21, Ohio State 14 - John Cooper
1995 Citrus Bowl: Alabama 24, Ohio State 14 - John Cooper
1996 Citrus Bowl: Tennessee 20, Ohio State 14 - John Cooper
2001 Outback Bowl: South Carolina 24, Ohio State 7 - John Cooper
2002 Outback Bowl: South Carolina 31, Ohio State 28 - Jim Tressel
2007 BCS Championship: Florida 41, Ohio State 14 - Jim Tressel
2008 BCS Championship: LSU 38, Ohio State 24 - Jim Tressel

And to think a few weeks ago I thought we were actually getting along.

Your bringing up the same old sh*t you do every year I see ....
So I guess your right.

I'm don't discussing things with you seeing it's your team or NOTHING around here.
Of course I see your already making up reasons why it's OK if you lose this week, thats OK to, you'll only drop a spot or two, seeing your who you are.
EVEN if you get smoked, you'll have the Tebow wasn't healthy or Tebow didn't play, nice built in excuse ....
thats OK, nothing I say has any relevance anyways.

We are getting along. Im having a great time. :p Just facts keep getting in the way of your argument so its hard for me not to bring them up.

and im not making any excuse. I said Brantley is good and FLA should be able to still pull off the win. If they dont well then congrats to the tigers and good luck winning out the SEC West. FLA still even with one loss will likely take the east. and if they can win the SECCG hey they might get back in the top 2 for a national title spot (Pending the other teams left.). A loss to LSU will not send FLA out of the top ten. Its likely will send them out of the top 5 though.

Also yes its a big deal if Tebow cant play, but thats football. Just like I made no excuses for OK without bradley I will not use that as an excuse for FLA and Tebow. They played with the cards they were dealt. Obvisouly FLAs offense IS tebow. The option, is their biggest card. Their receiveing cores are AVG. So Losing the option is a huge blow, but a great team should be able to overcome that. So if FLA really is a great team they will overcome it. If not well then they were not great. But does not mean they are not good.

And just for the record its not my team or nothing at all. Hell I have also been rooting on this Miami team, and even my biggest Rival FSU. I thought they were really gonna be good this year. I miss a strong FSU. It makes the rivalary game kinda crappy. I also support all the teams in my conference when they go out and play OOC. I also was on the USC bandwagon hoping theyd go all the way so FLA could face them to shut up the dam USC fans. Seems like it maybe Texas if they can make it through. Id also not mind a Texas title game either.

So please, dont take things so personal dude its only football. Because someone attacks your team does not mean its an attack on you. Just enjoy the ride. Itll be fun. We all know these preseason polls suck, which really puts teams in spots they shouldnt be and messes up dam near the whole season. We also all know we can not ever really know who the best team was without a playoff system. So we just got to play with what we got.

DID you just use the phrase. "I harken back....."??!! LOL!! Did you just steal grandpa's vocabulary??!! LOL!!!;)

I know this is an old website but this is for my Tiger fans...

TigerRag - LSU records rare win over Florida in Tiger Stadium

Some interesting quotes.

Of course since Miles, its been different but alas. :)
Yeah, my Tigers had a bad multiyear stint during the Curley Hallman / Gerry Dinardo era. They still managed to kick some gator ass a couple of times during that period though, and with inferior teams. Same thing might happen again this year with a little luck! Tebow better be hitting the Tylenol right now. ;) :)

Na we can take you with one tebow tied behind our back. We need him to get 100% for when we play a real team :D

The Tigers are the only real team on your schedule right now! Gonna bring you gator fans back to reality. ;)
