It was a show of south Florida talent last night as a whole bunch of West Virginia starters were down here including the game MVP and the WR.

Didn't someone here keep saying that the big east champion couldn't beat any ACC team and is glad their team didn't win the ACC championship so they didn't have to play WVA?

I think that WVU sent a big message to the Big12 defenses...here we come! Guess all that yardage they put up against LSU was legit after all.

One person sung it's praises and called it a strong conference, but he's been conspiculy absent.
Actually the league everyone thinks is dying and mismanaged etc... the Big 12 has the best bowl record this year followed by the league everyone wishes would die the Big East.

Meh. 4-2 in bowls so far this year.
They will at least lose one more obviously, but I think they have shown to be solid enough through the conference.
How on earth do we look foolish? We said the Big East and the ACC sucked, and we were only debating which sucked more. And looks like this year it was the ACC.. The battle of bottom feeders.
It should be interesting to see who wins the Cotton Bowl, a second tier SEC team vs. a second tier Big-12 team.

What point is that? Because aside from just win/loss you have to figure out who that conference was playing.
I mean you had Last years big east champ, a 10-3 Cincy team going against a Vanderbilt team who won 2 games all year in conference. So the second best team in the Big east against the 8th best team in the SEC... And the SEC team only lost by 1 TD. The second best team in the Big East better dam be able to beat the 8th best team in the SEC... It was sure close. The other SEC loss? A OT win by Mich St against GA by a field goal. A battle of very equal teams, in both record and talent.
I thought UCONN won the Big East last year. Cincinnatti only won two games in conference last year.

For me personally, a good bowl record by the big east does not justify them as a good conference in my eyes.
Look at the matchups. Hell they are three and one (so are conference usa and the MAC) One of the wins was a 9-3 team in a close one over a 6-6 Vandy. Yeah. Crow loud over that. Lol
They are the weakest or second weakest among the auto qualifiers any way I can look at it. Best teams or top to bottom.
The big 12 was called or predicted to be on deaths door step as a conference. Saying so does not mean that one thought that the conference was weak from an on field competitive standpoint. Two very different things.
