NCAA Basketball 2008-09 Season

St. John's beat Georgetown.

The Hoyas have no hope of getting an invite to the Big Dance.
That's beyond pathetic. I just don't understand that team. Georgetown has beaten UConn and Villanova on the road, and Syracuse and Memphis at home yet they keep losing to sh*t teams like St. John's. They blew a 16 point lead in the 2nd half.

As long as we're talking about bubbles bursting Cincinnati just sent formal notice to the selection committee that have no intention of playing in this year's NCAA Tournament after losing to South Florida.

I guess that means only 7 will get in from the BE (unless Providence gets in).

Notre Dame, Georgetown and Cincinnati are all toast.

Someone's not going to like that...

Wake rallies to beat Maryland 65-63. Looks like Maryland is going to have to make some noise in the ACC Tournament.

Ohio St avoids a disaster in Iowa and wins 60-58. Buckeyes keep their bubble hopes alive. At this point style points don't matter.

Any way you look at it, a wins a wins a win.

At the end of the day, that's all that matters. We won. The other team lost.

As much as I can't stand Duke, they did BC a solid by defeating FSU.

BC is still in contention for the #4 seed (and first round bye) in next weeks tournament.

uuuuggggghhhhh

Did you see the game? They called 2 technicals on FSU for no good reason, they call a foul on FSU on an abvious flop by Paulus and only call 6 fouls on dook in the 2nd half and one of those was intentional in the last minute. So to recap dook wins by 3 and gets 4 free thows off technicals handed to them by the refs. Fair game my ass!

Yep. FSU got hosed. Some ole story. dook* gets down at home, k* shifts dook* into defcon 2 mode and they start hacking and fouling on every play knowing that the refs won't call every foul. Eventually the other team succumbs to this and dook* wins. I hate dook*.

On to tonight's game. This game has me worried. UNC has already shown that they can lose to inferior teams on their home floor and Virginia Tech is better than Maryland. Also we could get caught looking ahead to the dook* game on Sunday. This smells like a trap game. I'm concerned. :(

I think Providence will get in if they do good in the Big East championship, beating Pitt helped them.

IMO, Providence needs to win two in the BE Tourney to have a shot. But I agree, that win over Pitt is looking HUGE on their resume.

Carolina holds off Virginia Tech 86-78. Now the stage is set for the rematch with dook. Senior Day in Chapel Hill, ACC regular season title at stake it's gonna be crazy. dook better use extra lube for this one. It could get ugly.
