I've been a UK fan since 1971 and that was best regular season performance I have ever witnessed by a UK player. Just unreal! Meeks may have put UK back in the national spotlight with that game.

I think they just gave up at that point. It didn't matter if they had a hand in his face or not. He was having a once in a lifetime game.

Jodie Meeks is KILLING Tennessee! 52 points and it's not over yet. He's 10-14 from 3. I've never seen a college player score that much.

EDIT: He finished with 54. You think Tennessee might want to think about guarding him next time they play.

That boy was a scoring machine. I believe he still holds about every NCAA scoring record. I'm too lazy to look it up. He could light it up from anywhere on the court. A hot dog with mustard.

I think his records do still stand, and think of what he'd have done with a 3 point line. Too bad his LSU teams lost most of the time. Goes to show that it is a TEAM game.

You're right about him not being the best team player. I hadn't thought about the three-point line. As far as that guy shot from, his numbers would really be astounding. He sure was a lot of fun to watch, though. Sports Center would have loved this guy.

That remains to be seen, but what is clear is that NC State were morons to run off Herb Sendek. The guy took them to 5 straight NCAA Tournaments, and has resurrected a horrible Arizona St program.
