The National Basketball Association has launched NBA T Broadband, offering online video highlights of the 2005-06 NBA season.
The National Basketball Association has launched NBA TV Broadband, an online, advertiser-supported package of NBA video highlights available for free via NBA.com.
NBA TV Broadband will carry in-game highlights of every NBA game from the 2005-06 basketball season, plus carry, TNT Overtime programming from the TNT cable network's basketball announcers. Fans will be able to view game highlights after the first half of the game, and highlights from the entire game once play is completed. NBA TV Broadband will also carry selections from NBA TV programming, including a daily recap of NBA games, talk segments about league events, interviews, behind-the-scenes coverage, and NBA TV Fantasy Hoops, a guide for fantasy basketball players. The segments will also feature Top Plays, Top Dunks with the night's top ten plays from around the NBA, the day's best play, and the best dunk.
"NBA TV Broadband delivers the ultimate rich media experience that NBA fans crave," said Brenda Spoonemore, Senior Vice President of Interactive Services for NBA Entertainment. NBA TV Broadband will be supported by advertising; Toyota has signed on as the presenting sponsor, and the service will carry ads from Reebok, Nike, Converse, Sony PlayStation, 20th Century Fox Home Videos, and other throughout the season.
Basketball fans with some computer savvy can also subscribe to an NBA TV Broadband RSS feed to receive video directly to their desktops.
