I am paying for the League Pass but, unless playing Hawks/Grizzles, New Orleans games are always blacked out. It happened all last year and the first game tonight was as well. I have called customer service numerous times and nobody understands why this is happening. Just wanted to see if anybody has any suggestions to rectify this issue.

What is the local sports network that carries the Pelicans,& does Directv carry it?

The Pelicans' game are broadcast on Fox Sports New Orleans which is a part-time channel and it is carried in my package by DTV. Somebody in another forum said NO, Atlanta and Memphis are all subject to blackout restrictions in my area but only the Pelicans games actually are. I guess why I haven't figured this out is because NO is the farthest team from me of the three. Never would have guessed they have any rights to my market (Montgomery.) This is why I am always nice to my service reps...called fives times over last year about something I should have figured out myself. New Orleans owns me! Thanks for your help royrdsjr...I really appreciate it.

I looked up Pelicans' broadcasters & they are on Fox Sports New Orleans like you said. Are you going to 676-4 to watch them play when their games are on? If Fox Sports New Orleans is your local sports network & the Pelicans your local team, then their games won't show up on the league pass channels,on those channels they will be blocked out. If their games are also blacked out on 676-4,then something is really wrong, maybe a dispute between the Pelicans & Directv's rights to carry them.

Yes, I tried to watch the game on 676-4. I can get the pregame and post game shows but never the actual Pelicans broadcast. The NBA website says I am subject to Memphis/Atlanta/New Orleans blackouts but the only team I am unable to watch regularly is the Pelicans.

One thing that you can try to do to test getting Pelican games,if you have League Pass with Directv, you can also activate League Pass on your computer,Roku Box,& Apple TV. I suggest maybe trying to see if you can watch a Pelican's game that way. There's no reason why you can't watch a Pelican's game unless it's a carriage issue with the team. Also,if you haven't done so already,go to the League Pass Channels(750-768) themselves & see if you can watch the Pelicans there.

The Pelicans have only played 2 games so far,& their first game against the Warriors last Tuesday was nationally televised on TNT. I don't know about the second game, but if their game is blacked out on 676-4,then check to make sure that the game isn't being broadcast on TNT,ESPN,or the NBA channel.

Do you subscribe to the RSN Sports Pack package? It may be that if you don't subscribe to the sports pack package, FSN New Orleans Pelican live feeds are blacked out. Where I live (East Tennessee), I am in markets that are claimed by both the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds. When I subscribed to Sports Pack, I had access to both teams' live feeds of games. When I dropped Sports Pack for awhile, I only had access to Braves games since FSO was considered a secondary market.

Wondering if both Memphis and Atlanta are considered your primary RSNs (and this is why you get live feeds of their games), and New Orleans is considered a secondary RSN (which means that you would only have access to their live feeds if you subscribe to the Sports Pack).

I had the same situation in NC with the Reds. With the Sports Pack, I got all Reds games on FS Cincinnati. Without the Sports Pack, I only got the select games mirrored on the FS South and (at the time) SportSouth subchannels. I don't think they were available on Extra Innings, since they had us in the secondary local market. It is likely the same type of situation for the OP with FS Southwest/New Orleans.
