This isn't e* specific info... but as much speculation that abounds about the subject, I figure any news is news :)

National Geographic HD to be distributed via PanAmSat
Apr 18, 2006 11:41 AM, HD Technology Update e-newsletter

National Geographic HD has chosen to join PanAmSat’s Galaxy HD neighborhood to reach more than 9000 cable systems throughout the United States.

National Geographic HD is distributed by Fox Entertainment Group. Fox had signed a long-term, multiyear, multisatellite, multitransponder deal consolidating its entire suite of U.S. programming onto PanAmSat’s global fleet. The contract was later expanded to include two additional transponders on Galaxy 13, the new home for National Geographic HD.

umm that's not relevent to anything and it's just old news announcing what satellite National geographic is distributed on.
