"I don't like people who claim that every picture of a woman is pornography or that it's degrading to women."
Just to set the record straight - I never claimed your avatar was pornographic. The photos are provocative and suggestive. In my opinion, they are not appropriate for this site.
I do appreciate your choice of women. They are quite attractive. If they were not, I would probably be complaining the photos are also disgusting
I would like to mention that I do not agree with your comment about the photos only being noticed because the women are attractive. I would probably have noticed the photos more quickly if the women were unattractive.
Once again and just to ensure there is no misunderstanding - there is nothing wrong with a seductively dressed woman in the correct forum. This site's
has asked that all "avatars be family friendly". Obviously, your avatar has generated some discussion by both genders on if it is "family friendly".
In addition, I mentioned in my first post that I realize this site is viewed mostly by men who would most likely not share my opinion. Being a female, having 4 daughters, and teaching high school students, I have a different perspective on this topic than most men - especially young men with no female children. I felt the need to express my opinion and hoped that it might be considered. I understand your point of view and actually agree with some points. I do not agree with that this is the correct forum for these types of photos.
On the original topic of this thread:
"I haven't been sick in years, I just stopped worrying about it. You come in contact with germs all the time, your body can handle it. The people who go out of their way to stay healthy tend to get sick more often."
I agree with you completely on this point and stated the same thing yesterday as I watched my daughter sucking on the handle of the Walmart shopping cart
As all the other teachers are constantly taking off time pick up sick children, I have been blessed with my health along with very healthy children. I attribute this to not getting the flu shot and not freaking about every germ that we may be exposed to. Being a teacher, I am constantly around sick kids. I always leave my home without a coat and sometimes even with wet hair during winter when I am truly running late! Ironically, it is my husband - who usually does get the flu shot, who works in an environment with only a few adults, who always wears a coat, and who never has wet hair (too short) - that gets the flu.
