Blaney was visibly upset during his interview. It was his move that sent Newman out of control. Hoping the best for Newman.

After watching that video a few times I change my opinion Blaney dumped him on purpose and then went below the yellow line to pass him, Lets see if they call that.

Newman injuries not life-threatening after crash

Ryan Newman is in serious condition following Monday's Daytona 500 crash, but doctors indicated his injuries are not life-threatening.

It took several minutes for his car to be rolled back onto its wheels. The 2008 Daytona 500 winner was placed in a waiting ambulance and taken directly to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona. The damage to Newman's Mustang was extensive; it appeared the entire roll cage designed to protect his head had caved. Newman's condition was not immediately known.

In an interview on Sirius XM NASCAR following the race, Gibbs apologized for the winning team celebration as workers were still tending to Newman. The car owner said they were not aware of the severity of the situation.

I did not know he got out of his car and was walking to the ambulance...
That in itself is a great sign.

NASCAR is reporting that he is in serious condition but injuries are non life threatening.
