So I know that the public NASA feeds are up there and everyone knows about them, but those are the feeds after the video is downlinked to Houston, produced, and reuplinked. If anyone pays attention, you'll notice that the shuttle uses Ku for downlinking video to Houston. I haven't been able to find any reliable information on how the video makes it down, but supposedly audio, telemetry, etc. is routed through some geosync satellites. Anyone know if it's possible to catch those feeds, IE the feeds directly from the shuttle to Houston?

Shuttle/station transmits Ku to TRDSS (Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System) through one of 3 satellites, TDRS-E, TDRS-W, or TDRS-Z. TDRS then sends the signal to the ground.

The signal between TDRS and ground is not receivable by FTA gear though. I believe it's encrypted.
