Okay, I'll ask: was the software update on the Hopper 3 or the Synology? I was looking at getting a Synology NAS for my home and this might be a fly in the ointment if they don't work together seamlessly.

SW update was on the hopper. ounce is a while it will load and play. It worked great before, but Dish only says Synology is incompatible and there are no guarantees. I am pi$$ed.
I received an email from Synology. The problem is with a software update on Media Server. They provided a link to manually install an older version. Everything works now. I would recommend using a Synology NAS. After you have your network installed and working you can use a VPN on it and download torrent files directly into your Synology without your PC.
