I wanted to get some commentary and opinions out there...
I came home to find my HR20-700 dead today. I turned the TV on and hurn this popping sound and the receiver had no lights on. So after many useless remedies offered by the CSR (all pretty much variations on RBRs) she ordered me a replacement receiver. I got it today and its an HR20-100, and its reconditioned. Can someone tell me the difference besides the obvious box size difference and weather they have heard of the symptoms my receiver had?

I thought mine died tonight as well.

I got home and it wouldn't turn on, no lights on the front. Only a grey screen showing. I hit reset and nothing. Pressed reset again and it finally came up.

I am running the latest CE for the HR20-700.

My HR20-700 was dead the other day, too. I had to unplug it to get it to fire up.

The latest CE is not one of D*'s better efforts. I haven't seen so many posts from folks at DBS saying they're going back to the national release due to problems.

I think this happened once before where they had a bad release and people were going back, but I think D* came right back out with another release on the next Monday or Tuesday.

So far, I have not had any problems with the latest CE ....
