The 95 LNB (linear) has a small throat size, (smaller than 40mm) and is made specifically for one of those Eagle Aspen Ku feed horns. The other throat size is bit more standard which allows for an Invacom or other LNBs as well.
I forgot to explain that one is linear and the other is circular. I'll most likely replace the circular with a liner for White Springs. Unless if something special shows up on 129 (the DSS side) then I'll stick with linear for White Springs.

I said this almost 2 years ago about my 36" DirecTV linear/circular dish. Not sure if you all remember but I was hoping for getting an Invacom to fit in the 129° slot for picking up an occasional FTE on Echo 5 and White Springs as well.

Well now the FTE activity has dwindled in terms of MPEG2 material on Echo 5 so the LNB was collecting cobwebs. I decided to take action.

As you all know, linears have a larger throat size and that physical slot didn't allow that large of an LNB.

I finally got around to modding the dish for 2 linears that will pick up 123° and 129°. All it takes is getting longer screws to lock the clamp down on the larger (linear) LNB. (129° side) The Eagle Aspen (original linear side) kind of stays locked in with the C120 flange screws nearby.

I'll get some pictures soon. Very pleased with my 1st mod!

I'm anxious to see what you did.
Not having one of those dishes, and not having seen closeups of the LNB mounts, this should be a treat.! - :up
Also, I think there have been several configurations sold, with different LNBs, so that contributes to my confusion.

As to LNB size, I'll mention that both the throat (where you clamp it) and the business end of the feed horn on the SatelliteAV MINI LNBs, is 40mm (about 1½ inches across).
Other common LNBs I have around, are 40mm throat, but more like 2¼ inches across the feedhorn.

added: also, in his own thread (toward the end), MikeInBaja found that dish a bear to align onto the 123° satellite.
Wonder what your experiences were?

Love to see pictures. I really would think that would be a bear to aim too. As always with FTA..where there is a will, there usually ends up being a way. Especially if your patient and don't give up.

Easy to aim for 123 if you have PATIENCE!!! Need lots of it. Drove me nuts with the banana trees in the way.

The linear LNB is centered and the circular slot is offside a bit. We know that's not a big deal cause the circular birds have high power. No problems getting Echo 5 or any other DBS slot with that dish since it is 36", more than enough size!

White Springs came in great with only 2% drop in quality compared to the motorized setup, which is NOT BAD AT ALL!! :D

White Springs is VERY forgiving on low signal strength due to what I think is an extremely LOW FEC rate. 1/2 I think.

Fresh photos here! (Please excuse my messy South Florida backyard.)

Basically now my dish seems more efficient. Now, the dedicated dish that was once for White Springs is now aimed at PBS HD. (AMC 21). Now with the kid in the house, it's good to have a PBS dish on the system. (PBS Kids)
