CES showed a lot of new smartphone/tablet devices.
But the annual Mobile World Congress taking place in Barcelona on Feb. 14-17 is most likely going to be even more exciting

What can be expected:

1. Nokia will show up (was practically non-existent on CES).
Lots of rumors: dropping Symbian, embracing either Android or WP7. MeeGo fate. N9?
2. Intel might show their Medfield phone
3. LG new tablets and smartphone
4. Samsung Tab2 and Galaxy S2
3. Tegra2 on more devices

Interesting times ahead...

With Nokia making MeeGo a "learning project", the future for this Linux smartphone OS is anything but bright.
But it looks like Intel - Nokia's partner "in crime" in creating MeeGo - isn't giving up yet.

Although it is a bit of a stretch to assume that Intel will jump into the smartphone/tablet manufacturing market with both feet
and use MeeGo as its OS (but stranger things happened), I believe if they want to compete with ARM for the "brains" CPU,
they need some OS to showcase their offerings. MeeGo might be just what is needed, if only for a short while.

EDIT:
May I ask the admins to change 2001 in the title of this thread to 2011?
Thanks.

Those leaks start resembling waterfall...

LG phones: looking almost as good as the ladies showing them off

Have they been sued by Apple for something yet? If not, I think it's time...:)

Cook can call Android 3.0 vapor as much as he wants, but the way I see it Honeycomb is head and shoulders above iPad GUI...
