Is there a receiver that will do a blind search and be capable of using an access card?

Thanks in advance,
tobwco

These might be what you are looking for, I'm only familiar with the Pansat receivers.

I'm guessing that "Automatic Channel Search" is the same as a "blind search." Other models say "Smart Search," but don't have CI slots or included.

This one has two CI Smart Card slots so that you can receive programming from 2 different providers, http://www.panarex.com/product/receiver-500CI.htm

This one has two CI Smart Card slots and a 80Gb HD PVR. http://www.panarex.com/product/receiver-700HC.htm

This one has Nigravision built in so you can only get services that use Nagravision.

And this model doesn't say what kind of scanning it has but it includes Viaccess built inside the receiver and 2 card slots.

The satellite Bible Lyngsat confirms this channel is no longer broadcasting in this country......

And Brian confirmed that there are no (known) receivers that do blind scan and could have worked with this channel!

Back to the old drawing board!

Thank's PSB, I wasn't sure if those models would do a blind search or not. Too many manufactures call things by different names. Come to think of it I don't think there are many receivers (other than properitary receivers) that have CI slots either. I wouldn't mind getting the one with PVR and 2 card slots though, now to justify why I would need it :)

Still not 100% sure myself Brian......Blind Scan...Smart Scan......Power Scan.

I had a Great dual CI receiver (Pace MSS2000) in the UK it had Dolby Surround sound and 4 built in amplifiers.......it was a BIG mistake leaving it behind with my Mordaunt Short speakers :river
