MPEG 4 for SD also?

Most of the MPEG 4 talk is in referance to HD channels. But in the big picture, will ALL Dish channels be broadcast in MPEG 4 sometime in the future. If this is true, every dish customer will at some point need to replace ever receiver that have.

Most of the MPEG 4 talk is in referance to HD channels. But in the big picture, will ALL Dish channels be broadcast in MPEG 4 sometime in the future. If this is true, every dish customer will at some point need to replace ever receiver that have.

Just the logistics will require several years for that to happen. However, it appears that all new receivers, starting 1 Feb, will be MPEG2 and MPEG4 capable--and also both SD and HD capable. So Dish is heading down that path.
