Motorola PVR Reciever Mod?

Is there any way to MOD a Motorola PVR reciever forcing it to recieve FTA feeds? I don't have cable in my remote location and rely on Satellite broadcasts. Currently have a Coosat FTA but wondering about my Motorola box.

Motorola are Digicipher II box's, not DVB

I took it that he was looking to use his Motorola DVR to record output from his FTA receiver. He needs to be able to modified the DVR to load schedules and control the FTA receiver. Without knowing for certain if this is the case, and without knowing the specific model of Motorla DVR (and configuration - i.e. does it have custom software for a specific cable provider installed?), I'm guessing the possibility of doing anything is nearly null.
