Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I'm not sure which is the correct forum, if any, for this question.

I have an old Pansat 2700 and a motorized dish from Sadoun ( motor is DG 240). It's been in the garage for a couple of years, not used. Today I set it up, it works great moving to the east of center ( 97.0 W Galaxy 19)., but will not move west past "0". I've tried moving the dish with the receiver and with the manual button on the motor, it just won't go west past zero.

I called Sadoun and was told to "google dg240 refit." That did not work. Any suggestions, anyone?

Thanks, Bennie

Hi Bennie. It has been a long time since using an older Pansat SD box and I am not familiar with that motor either but the first place to start would be disabling the limits in positioner setup. This may fix it and if not is there a reset on that motor?

Removing the limits did the trick. Thanks! Now to locate Reto TV, if they are still on a satellite. :)

Reto TV = Retro TV(?)
Don't like being the bearer of bad news, but they shut off the Ku transmission (83w) about a month or two ago. Only available via C band now which requires a BUD (10ft recommended* as it's DVB-S2, which also requires a new receiver.) Mike Kohl's Ku band list http://www.global-cm.net/MPEGlistKuBandUS.html
*some members get it with smaller, YMMV.

Thanks, been looking for a good reason to get a C-Band system. Had one back in the day. Any suggestion on a good not-too-expensive HD receiver or package?

Good news..If you plan on using your motorized setup more now than in the past it would be a good idea to upgrade that receiver to a HD receiver..Lots of choices now that are very reasonably priced.

Have fun.
