I have SG2100 motor mounted on a tripod. I have failed miserably in arresting the rotation motor mounting bracket about the mounting pole. I thought it might be due to under tightening. After aligning it to my reference sat, I tightened the U-Bolt (Motor mounting bolt) and motor bracket started yielding. I actually over tightened the bolts! In a week, the motor turns to east by about a degree.
My TS is 122°W and I have LoS form 105°W to 59° W. So O move the motor b/w 97°W to 61°W. I feel since I do not move the motor to true south or to west, weight of dish and motor pulls the whole thing to one side and it does not get compensated. Another reason could be the pole/mast diameter.
Please suggest me what could be done to avoid this rotation and what should be the minimum OD of the pole/mast
