Well, instead of trying to resurrect an old thread, I thought I'd mention a few more interesting finds on this satellite. Hopefully, Globecast will keep the free channels on the air when the new year comes around. So, in addition to watching Three's Company late nights on Zarin TV, here's a few other catches:

AZTV from Azerbaijan had Tom and Jerry cartoons around 2 a.m. Eastern time last week. Dubbed into Azeri made little difference, as those cartoons contained very little dialogue :)

ESTV from Ethiopia was playing some sort of Science Fiction movie from the UK (no dubbing) around 11 p.m. last month.

Oman TV recently began to air "Mythbusters" in the late evening hours. Unfortunately, it is heavily dubbed into Arabic, so this might be a better catch on Netflix.

The rebranded "i-Movie 2" from Iran has movies and series dubbed into English, but I haven't yet found anything that has caught my interest.

Ebru TV continues to offer interesting programming and truly competes with Kuwait TV 2 for my attention these days.

As stated by others, Al Etejah English is staring to lessen the pain from AJE's disappearance from North America. English news and documentaries will make you take a second look.

Often overlooked, CNC English news has interesting social pieces in their news hour. I once caught them doing a segment in the Georgia town where they film that popular zombie series.

Simaye Azadi, a UK Farsi language station, has been known to occasionally air English language series and movies.

That's all for tonight. I promise to upload the updated channel guide by the weekend (Christian channel "Sat 7" is scheduled go live next week, so I've included that). Have you found any interesting programs while surfing 97W lately? Share 'em with us again :)

Channel called PNG has American shows on dubbed into Farsi but some show are in English.

Dan Rose

Kazakh TV has programming in English in evenings sometimes. Even when not in English, its programming can be interesting to view. Nile TV gives English and French news. TRT Turkey's collection of channels can be worth checking out.

As mentioned in previous threads Zarin tv was airing Dallas on weeknights 8 PM and Dynasty saturday mornings (no dubbing).

I´ve also found some sports shows in english on KTV3 (i.e. KTV Sport).

And as mentioned ábout Al Etejah English, I´ve found good coverage on middle-east and international news, and also very interesting documentaries.

Right now (almost 5 PM) there´s and old B&W flick on Zarin TV (no dubbing).

And on AssyriaSat some western movie (in color but not kind of recent) also in it´s original english audio.

Last night on Zarin TV, I caught Dallas at 8 PM,

On Al Etejah, last night, I think about 10 30 PM, the documentary Where where you when....?

Sorry to resurrect this, but didn't want to start a new thread. The final episode of Three's Company aired earlier this week. Now at the 1 a.m.-ish spot on Zarin TV, you can enjoy "I Love Lucy."

Wow that´s some good news, I mean bad I missed Three´s Company´s final episode, but I Love Lucy is one of my favorite classic shows. :)
