My HDMI doen't work. Everyone must be tired of this question, but I got a new answer from customer support. I just got a new Mitsubishi WD-73733 with HDMI 1.3 output. Hooked up my vip622 (I have had it for 18 months) with my new HDMI cable and didn't work. Read as much as I could of all the posts, then armed with everyones comments I called customer service. He told me my TV model was not in the database and I had to wait until the next upgrade. Since my Mitsubishi just came out this week I guess it could be true. Could this be legit?

More than likely it is not an handshake issue but a bad HDMI connector. Dish might not want to do anything at this point since it is a new TV. Have you ever used the HDMi connection prior to your new Mits? I got a new projector a while back and hooked it up using HDMI. It didn't work. Even hooked it up to my Mits 65831 that also had a 622 hooked up using HDMI and didn't work there either. Try an HDMI reset under menu-6-3-Analysis-HDMI test and run the HDMI test. Report what it says. Maybe even try tech support roulette.

just an FYI,

I had a 622 for about 4 months, and the HDMI stopped working altogether. Called Dish, they sent me a new one via RMA. Received new receiver, and no issues so far with HDMI.

My TV, is a 1.2 HDMI, 3 ports, all 3 tried, 3 different cables, no dice on any combo, hence why dish sent a new 622.

Why the 722 temperature is so HOT ?
