More bizarre H3 behavior

My previous receivers were VIP DVRs which I would still own were it not for sabotage of the iVOD feature. With a VIP receiver, when you turn off the receiver, and later turned it back on again, it will start up on the channel it was last on. Not so, the H3. For some reason I cannot fathom, it always goes to MSNBC. How do you make the H3 turn on again on the last channel?

With a 54 remote, press Home twice, go to Settings, go to Power, change Power On to Tune To Last Channel.
