Got an old Model 5000 without a smart card.

How can I update the software on this so it can support a purple smart card?

Will Dish even activate this anymore?

We won't activate it anymore

Also, the 5000 won't support the new purple smart cards. From what it looks like, there was never any software for the support

Well that answers that question. Too bad because I wanted to use my HD modulator to output an SD channel in my antenna network.
