MLB Extra Innings blackout question

Since the ESPYs are live tomorrow night, why the early blackout on Sunday's MLB games?

Your question makes no sense. Last Sunday ther was a Cubs vs Dodgers game at 8pm. The ESPY show is on Wednesday night, a night that has no MLB games due to AllStar break. This coming Sunday is Cubs vs Phillies at 8pm.

Anything else on Sunday night starting after 5:10pm ET (or something like that) is blacked out to protect the ESPN 8pm game.

According to directv's web page, as well as In Demand's has the 2PM eastern time as the latest games showed on EI this Sunday.

I'm guessing no one notified whomever runs extra innings that the time was changed.

For the record, you would miss 3 games - Seattle at Angels, Arizona at San Diego and Mets at Giants.

Looking at ESPN as well as MLB's web pages, the only game that starts after 4:05 is the late game, Phils and Cubs at 8 pm.
