After a few days of snow, my dishes were covered and being unable to sweep them off due to having surgery on my foot, I woke up today to a loss of MeTV and several other channels that were FTA prior to the snow.

I'm showing MeTV now being scrambled using BISS Key. I retuned my receiver, and they are still showing encrypted. Have we lost these channels or is my receiver having a brain fart? Is anyone else experiencing this loss of channels.

Same here, I watched ME-TV the night before and yesterday there was nothing really sad to see that it's gone and the other channels they were the best of the best, it's to bad

I doubt they're encrypting it for the few dedicated FTAers out there. I'm betting there were reports of independent stations rebroadcasting their signals without going through the process of becoming an affiliate station. With the reduction of the band via the FCC auction, the interference from 5G and the potential of more stations encrypting or going strictly streaming only, I think the hobby is only going to be limited to those who want to watch foreign programming or religious programming. It's a sad to see something that's gone on for over 40 years end up like this, but linear television itself is being largely eliminated with streaming, so the TV landscape has largely changed in recent years.

I rescanned that transponder and all is back. It is showing scrambled but unknown encryption method. All clear for now.
