I've been playing this game for about a week, there are some redeeming qualities to this game, but over all the game is not fun and I have no idea how it got a half way decent rating..

The good:
  • Once you resume after a save it reminds you what your objective is
  • Saves are generally right before the boss battles
  • You don't lose all you're equipment when you start out (that was always such a lame story line)
  • Hyper mode! (they shouldn't end the game if you stay in hyper mode too long, they should have changed you're objectives :))

The bad:
  • The boss battles are repetative, drawn out, and generally irritating..
  • The controls are tiring and a pain in the rear at times.. not even remotely fluid like zelda..
  • The camera angels while in morph ball mode are pretty bad..
  • The game is feeling a bit dated and repetative when you compare it to the gamecube versions..

I would not recommend anyone buyiing this unless you're really into metroid. Comparing this game to zelda is probably a fair way to go.. and with zelda I looked forward to every moment playing.. metroid I just want to be over, I pawn off playing because I know I logged out at a boss battle..

Mind you my gudgement may be a bit harsh but I am comparing it to better games like zelda, paper mario, bioshock, oblivion, etc..

Anyone else have opinions on this game?
