Media Server

Why did my DVR find a media server(vista laptop) yet I can not find a way to talk to the laptop. So now every time I shut down the laptop, I have to hit ok on the DVR because it says media server is offline.

Is this going to be some new feature in the future? Is there a way yet to record DVR shows to DVD?

This is so you can play certain videos/music/photos from your PC on your HR2x. It is not setup so that you can get files off the HR2x to the PC however. Not sure if it ever will be.

When your PC is on, hit Menu on your HR2x remote and you'll see the "Music/Photos/Video" option (or something like that).

Use TVersity; it is much better IMHO

Is that some software that you need to have on your pc? The problem with DTV software, it must be VIIV chipset. WT???

Or just use windows media player. It is already on your pc and easy to set up.
