I assume you mean the slot on the right side of the receiver looking at the unit from the front. It would be great if they could do that. More important to me than the DVR solution is firewire and this would quickly get VOOM into a recordable media! Great thought!

I don't know how difficult this is - but since other cheaper receivers
can do it - maybe VOOM could send a software upgrade that allows
customers to plug a firewire card into the open slot in the VOOM box.
It seems that VOOM is trying to leapfrog the competition by having a
3-tuner whole-house DVR solution when a lot of customers only want to
time shift and skip commercials.
