I currently have dish and have two dual tuner reciever so that counts a 4 tuners fo I am maxed out on reciever but I want 2 more. I have 4-5 tv's in the house and want them hooked up to sat. If I have 2 of the HD DVRs on Direct can I add 2-3 more receiver in other rooms?

You would need to get a multi-switch (Do not get a splitter). I believe (I could be wrong) that the 6 x 8 is the largest they have (which means 6 coax in and 8 out). That would mean you can ohly have up to 8 separate tuners total from one dish.

They also have the Zinwell WB616 switch that supports up to 16 connections from the switch.

Zinwell WB616 DIRECTV Wide Band 6x16 Multi-Switch (WB616) | WB616 [Zinwell] | Zinwell WB616 DIRECTV Wide Band 6x16 Multi-Switch (WB616) wb68 wb-616 at multiswitch 6 x 16 wb16 au9 au9-s au9s au 9

You can also cascade switches. Basically, the number of tuners is unlimited. No drop in quality, a digital signal is always the same coming in and going out. They have internal circutry to ensure the vloatage and current remains at the prescribed level. Whn cascading, you need to use self powered multi switches (walll warts to power) as the power supplied from the tuner will not make it past the first multi switch.

With DISH you are not maxed out you can only lease 4 tumers but you can own more receivers they just cost more. You can have upto six receivers or 12 tuners(duals) on your DISH account. Directv dosen't limit the number of receivers it just costs you $5/mo, for additional receivers, and lease upgrade fees.
