For my upcoming install of a Hopper 3 and a Joey 3, the length of the coax between them is approx 100 ft. Will this be OK? I assume there is some maximum length but hopefully it's longer than 100 ft.

100' shouldn't be a problem using RG6
I have no idea what grade of coax. It was installed 25 years ago. It is currently being used -- it runs from my Dish antenna on the roof all the way over to the far side of the house and drives a DVR 625, which still works great.

Barnrat, do yourself a favor and stop trying to overanalyze over your several threads. Let your installer do his/her job and you will be happy with the end result. My Hopper 3 works just fine over the coax that I installed over 35 years ago.
Bobby, you sound like my wife. :) Yeah, you're probably right -- I do tend to anticipate all possible problems that might occur. Although I've been retired for 10 years now, this is my programmer background -- always asking the "what if?" question. OK, I'll calm down . . .
