I have no idea what grade of coax. It was installed 25 years ago. It is currently being used -- it runs from my Dish antenna on the roof all the way over to the far side of the house and drives a DVR 625, which still works great.100' shouldn't be a problem using RG6
Bobby, you sound like my wife. Yeah, you're probably right -- I do tend to anticipate all possible problems that might occur. Although I've been retired for 10 years now, this is my programmer background -- always asking the "what if?" question. OK, I'll calm down . . .Barnrat, do yourself a favor and stop trying to overanalyze over your several threads. Let your installer do his/her job and you will be happy with the end result. My Hopper 3 works just fine over the coax that I installed over 35 years ago.
