lynksys routers and sky angel

i recently had a customer that just received her sky angel iptv receiver,went to walmart and bought a lynksys wireless router.the sky angel receiver worked perfectly directly through the DSL modem but when we connected the computer and the sky angel receiver i no connection to the internet at all.it almost seemed the router was defective.i called lynksys tech support and got a very smart and computer savy lady in the philapines.we figured out that the lynksys router was using the sameIP address as the computer which cancels out each other,it took about an hour on the phone but we finally got the IP address changed in the router,after that every thing worked just fine.i am sure alot of people have run into this problem and never figured out what the problem was.

Also, does this router have QoS?
