100 bucks is about right for new at the hardware store but not used at the scrap yard. As I'm sure everyone knows scrap yard prices are all over the board.

Our cheapest scrapyard locally (35 mile drive one-way) for a 3.5" is $85 for a 9' pole. I prefer poles with experience, and I've never had an issue "popping" one as our soil is sandy loam for miles around. If you think that's "too much work", then what do you call setting up a dish in the first place?

Around here you would have your hands full trying to pull one out. I'd just cut it off at ground level, weld a flange to it and bolt it to a new concrete base.

Thanks. Poles we have in ground.
Just got another call about 5 mins ago.
Another 10' will be saved from the scrap yard :)

Keep ya posted on how it all works out.
