lost voom

just had voom installed sat was just watching lost everything the reciver still has power but i am geting nothing!

Is the satellite icon green or red?
Is the menu still working?
Check the signal quality readings: HELP-INFO-OK-Down-Down...

Or just reboot... by holding the power button for 10 seconds and letting go...

Yeah, if there is no menu, it's either a lockup, in which case you need to reboot, or you accidently switched the input on your TV set (e.g. by pressing the INPUT button on VOOM's remote). Most likely a lockup, since the icon is red.

i just rebooted still nothing.

Give it a minute, then press VOOM button. Do you get a menu?

Check all connections to the box and the TV set.

press voom button get nothing checked connections they are good

Ok, when you rebooted, was the TV screen blinking at all?

no blinking just solid black screen

Can you verify that your TV is set to the right input? Does it work at all?

yes

Is the icon on the STB still red?

 

[Ilya]

Try unplugging the STB for 20-30 seconds. After you plug it back in watch what happens on the STB's front panel. See if the horizontal lines on the right side will start blinking in sequence. Which one will be the last to blink?
