lost channels

Hi Guys
I was watching Discovery HD last night and all of a sudden we lost reception and the searching for satellite signal came on. We cannot access the guide at all, but can get to some of the menus. All the transponders read zero. This is on the HD receiver, model H20. Our regular non HD receiver in the bedroom works just fine. Is there anything we can try? We have tried the red reset button but no success.

You didn't mention which model H20 - if it is a 600 there may be a recall out on that box. See link below.

I looked and it just says its a H20 600. It is not the PVR model either.

If no sticker (or not the right codes) I'd suspect the box. They will replace it for free - follow the instructions in the thread link.

If the box feels oddly hot, it basically fried the powerpack that sends out 13v/18v. D* will replace for free, and you may be able to convince them to fedex one.
